Boozehounds

Boozehounds are an integral part of any party.
They are known for uncommonly large alcohol consumption and the ability to function there after and they often receive large amounts of admiration from there peers as well.

However they suffer from severe hangovers more frequently than most, they often become violent and injure one another as well as doors and they also have the potential to forget large portions of the evening and miss out on lap dances from the poker dealing stripper at the end of the night.

They always seem to have fun though.

CANVAS #3 preparations are well underway so cruise down to witness a large number of boozehounds in action. With the likes of Sotiris, Fence Tompkins, Dodgem & The Creep spinning and Sleater Brockman pumping out a massive 2 hour set Canvas #3 is set to go off .

when earth's finest man, dodgem olivier, put up his track yesterday, i realised that not only was i jealous and wanted to put a track up, but i also already had a track pretty much finished that sampled biggie as well. dodgem and the creep, we keep it in theme. it also samples the game, discussing how he woke up from a coma in 2001, the same time dre dropped 2001.

This track is dedicated to Notorious Hunt Nugget, a heinous individual from Sydney's north shore who has welcomed me into his household for the next few weeks.
He is by no means glorious but deserved of the dedication nonetheless.

This is the first original Dodgem Olivier track featuring vocals two biggies from New York, Notorious B.I.G and Big L.

I was watching law and order: svu a while ago and they had this animal trafficking episode. anyway this animal pimp had this pack of hyenas that he used to kill people. this, among other things drew my attention to the fact that hyenas are scary as fuck.

fact: chick spotted hyenas have dicks. extended clitorises. this is one hundred percent true.

fact: hyenas can adjust there body pressure to walk underwater and hold their breath for ages to stalk you underwater.

fact: they excrete a gnarly goo from their anuses to mark territory.

fact: spotted hyena clans can have between five and NINETY members, all led by one bad ass chick with a big ass dick.

fact: hyena women are both frigid and sluts. they won't sleep with like any dude in the pack, but they'll give it up to any stray that comes by from another crew. for hyena males this is the equivalent of going on a contiki tour in europe to finally get some after years of neglect in high school.

sonic youth formed one day in 1981, when thurston moore and lee ranaldo took turns fucking up guitars with screwdrivers and chopsticks and shit and playing drums. kim gordon was there too and one day they got a drummer. 

that drummer was the creepy garage attendant who stole the ferrari in ferris bueller's day off. this is the number one reason to like sonic youth. for some reason he thought it would be a good idea to leave sonic youth after they released their first album to play full-time in another band.

anyway, cut to 2009 (that's now). these dudes are about to drop their 16th studio album under the sonic youth banner, or their 50th release including singles and all the other wacky shit they've done in their time.

sonic youth fucking rocks. sonic youth sound like i want to have a cigarette. isn't it a little bit late now to still be experimenting with guitars? because the now 51 year old thurston moore hasn't age since he was 24, i say no. seriously, look, it's fucking weird.

poison arrow is an almost pleasant one from their new album, the eternal.

kool thing is probably the most famous (i don't know if famous is a thing here) sonic youth song. it's pretty sick. you might like it.

Nothing particularly exciting this week apart from an abundance of attractive mothers in my area, a big g-up for Hijack this friday night, something i assume will be sufficient for a saturday night, my realisation that im being fucking by Australian currency rates, and then We Love Sounds winter festival next Saturday June 6th, featuring Laidback Luke, Dave Nada, James Zabiela and many many many more.

My facial hair is pretty much at optimal length now too so thats as pleased as i can be, which is something good, just to let you know.

So after the first post im completely motivated to push out every track i make and to get down everything i do including the little irrelevant pieces of information. Half the reason im writing this is to be able to have that statement in writing, so if i fuck up, its really all on me.

Assuming thousands of readers, millions?.....nah, take an interest, wear Canvas tshirts, caps and apparel, and name their children after me is incentive enough.

Fence Tompkins should be writing soon and hopefully posting some fucked up tracks, and Marty, whos blog name is yet to be decided, will also be getting on this horse and cart.

Welcome to Canvas!

Pretty much over the next (x period of time) we will be trying to push underground, upcoming and fresh electronic music as well as anything that takes our fancy. Being the first post this is just introductory and to let you know that now we are part of the blog community.

I assume we will be getting out some substance and not just shit we feel the need to discuss, including our own production material, so look forward to Canvas kicking off.
